Here’s how we keep the record of your home private and safe, in plain terms.
Private and encrypted, start to finish
Your videos and inventory are encrypted on the way to us and while they rest in storage, so the record of your home stays yours alone, from the moment you hit upload.
Only you can see your inventory
Your videos and records are kept separate and walled off from every other account. Your video is processed automatically to build your inventory, and we never put your home on display.
Save your copy before your 30 days end
While you build your inventory, it lives with us. Before your 30 days end, download your PDF report and spreadsheet. We don’t give you a copy of your video to keep, so keep the original yourself. After your access ends, we delete your video and our copy of your inventory on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
Stored safely, here in the United States
Your videos and inventory are kept on secure, professionally managed systems in the United States.
A dated fingerprint
When you upload a walkthrough, we take a digital fingerprint of that video and record the date and time you started uploading it.
Your inventory stays yours to edit
Because it’s only the footage we fingerprint, the inventory stays safe to edit. Rename an item, correct a value, draw a box around something we missed. Every item stays labeled as found automatically or added by you, so anyone reading it can see where each line came from.
Your full payment card number never touches our servers
When you pay, you enter your card details in a secure payment window run by a certified payment provider built to handle cards safely. Your full card number and security code go straight to them and never pass through Disaster Inventory’s systems. We keep only the card brand and last four digits as a record of your payment, so that part of your life stays private too.
Two-step sign-in available
You can turn on two-step sign-in, where you enter a one-time code from an authenticator app as well as your password, for an extra layer of protection. It’s there if you want it.
No ad or analytics cookies without your OK
We don’t use any today. If we ever add them, we’ll update our Privacy Policy first, and they’ll stay off until you turn them on. We don’t sell your data or use it to train AI models.
